Magnetic Boom Connectors

The Magnetic Boom Connector is used to couple a small oil containment boom to the hull of a ship or other flat metal surface and make an oil tight seal.

The connector is usually placed on the hull at the waterline. One side is fitted with magnets while the other with an ASTM compliant boom connector suitable for booms up to 24 inches overall.

A choice of boom connectors are available. Boom connector type and orientation should be specified when ordering.

An over center handle at the top of the connector releases the connector from the hull and a flotation buoy prevents loss during handling.
